Gosh, what a roller-coaster of a ride I’ve been on since Murder Among the Roses was released last month.
It started with a blog tour and the book shot up to No 1 in Noir Crime on Amazon with a lovely Bestseller flag. And it was a “Hot New Release” surrounded by Richard Osman.
And the reviews! Oh, my gosh the reviews! Thank you to everyone who took the time to leave a review or a rating on Amazon. Every one is cherished.
The wonderful Katie Fforde said that she was “…gripped from the first page to the last.”
Fiona Marsden (chatting with Katie Fforde on Twitter) said “It’s so good. Everything you love about a Liz Fielding book but with murder.”
And the incredible Jane Porter has bought a copy for her mother for Mother’s Day!
To top the joy, this week I went to a garden party thrown by Joffe Books, my new publishers and met a lot of other crime writers. L to R Karen Clarke, Liz Fielding, Michelle Kidd and Victoria Dowd (who is on the short-list for the Crime Writers’ Association Short Story Dagger). Rain was forecast, but the weather gods beamed down on us and the evening was filled with sunshine.
If you haven’t had a chance to read the book yet, it’s still at the special launch price of 99p/99c, but don’t hang about, it won’t be at that price for long. And if you prefer it, there is a paperback version available. And if you’re signed up to KU, you can read it for free!
Do let me know what you think of the book and my new heroine, Abby Finch, who will be appearing in her next book, provisionally titled Murder With Mistletoe, in the autumn.
